David Blaine

Could one of you guys come to London and take him back now, please? He's starting to annoy us.

Amen. The guy needs to stick to card tricks. Those Houdini-esque stunts are so lame. I guess that kind of stuff entertained people 100 years ago. I gotta say I was kind of rooting against him when he froze himself inside that giant ice cube.

Just checked out the UK newspapers - it is amazing how much space has been given to David Blaine's stunts.

My favorite was a piece in the Independent - which discussed David Blaine's need for publicity and how he was dilutional!!!

But the fact is - the brits lapped up David Blain's stunt - by giving him far more press coverage than he ever acieved in total here in the US.

David Blaine has won and got what he wanted in the UK - PR.

Dilutional?

Did he wear a suit made of tea bags? Or did he just p%ss in the Thames?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself....

Apparently, there were people selling eggs and tomatoes "3 for a pound" by his cage, to see if you could pelt him. Apparently someone managed with an egg.

And some people have had their golfing equipment confiscated after trying to whack balls at him from Tower Bridge.

I think some people see this as "England vs David Blaine". When he did his US stuff, I think people just watched to see if he could do it. I think here people more see it as a challenge to see if they can stop him.
