After the washed-out mermaid parade this year, I'm not ready to go back to Coney Island for a while...  visions of $7, thimble sized tequilla shots in Cha-chas and an unshakable, damp numbness...  ewwww...

Yeah that mermaid day parade was a "wash out," I'm glad I didn't go this year. The weather seems to be drying up though, maybe it will actually be clear for a while now.

In other words: take advantage of the weather while you can!!

saw hot hot heat... rode the cyclone... marvelled at how dirty the beach was.. but all in all it was a good day..

oh yah.. and dropped $30 winning the BIG stuff dog at the dart game where you have to pop the balloons.  i kept hitting the balloon the booth man wanted me to hit and my dart would bounce off b/c it wasn't blown up enough.  the dart almost hit the guy a couple of times...

we named the dog 'bling bling'.
