I believe there is quite a nice waterfall just up the road. At a little town called Niagara.

well i used to live there (in NC now, not many tech jobs in BFLO).

There are free concerts in downtown (i think on thursdays).
Stop by the Anchor Bar, the home of the original Buffalo Wing
Delaware park has "Shakespeare in the Park" running for most of June and July
The Elmwood strip is great for a large selection of Bars/Clubs
Soon is the "AllenTown art festival" ~ 400,000 people visit it annually
Catch a "Buffalo Bisons" AAA baseball game
The waterfront on the Niagara River.
Across the Bridge to Canada is Fort Erie
See at Show at Shea's Performing art center

Up the road I-190 about 20 miles is Niagara Falls
While in Niagara Falls take the Jet Boat tour of the lower niagara river its awsome. - OR - the "Maid of the Mist" for a more leasurely boat ride.
