Just making self clean - do the software development firms in NY hire programmers in Russia,Ukraine etc for remote work?

I've seen data-entry type tasks shipped off to India, but I haven't personally witnessed any other international outsourcing myself.

They call it BPO (Business Process Outsourcing, I guess)

E-server is one of the hottest software companies in India with a P/E of 35.
