What about the plugins Something I see missing from the "HTML API" concept are the plugins. Specifically I am thinking about Java Applets, Flash, Mulitmedia players, and other little worlds that live in the browser. Add this to HTML then I think you have an API. The big problem with all of these plugins is that they are proprietary for the most part (and have been horribly abused. I swear if get another Flash intro...)
