IIS download I have XP Pro and want to install IIS but do not have the CD. Does anyone know where I can download it?
DanP
Can't do it without the CD, as far as I know.

I haven't received a real OS disk with the last 3 computers I purchased (from real companies like compaq and dell). MS wants a bogus hidden partition instead of an OS disk. And the ones with a restore disk, well, that's useless too.

Try control panel -> add / remove programs. Select the add/remove Windows components option on the left. One of the options is IIS. It should work without having to insert a disc.

If there's another machine the with the same version of the OS, you can network share the windows folder and choose that as the file source.

At this point i'd be complaining to Dell. I bought Windows XP Pro, so where's the rest of it? If you didn't advertise it as crippled, I want money back...

If Dell or whomever gave you a recovery disk, that might work when Add/Remove asks for the Windows CD.

On my Dell, the WinXP Pro files are in C:\I386.
