Software options for automating Windows?WinBatch..

Any suggestions of software that can automate Windows tasks?

1.  Record my clicks, etc. and produce a script (smilar to how VBS works in MS Office).

2.  Smart : instead of just tracking the mouse, it actually KNOWS what you're clicking on.

So far, found WinBatch which seems mature and easy to use. $99.50. Not a bad price if it's easy to use. Haven't tried it yet.

I had a project to migrate 100,000+ files out of a legacy system with no export function.  I used AutoIt v1.0 to do it and it worked wonderfully.  It appears they're up to version 3 now:

As far as I know, the command line (.bat files, I assume you mean) won't let me INTERACT with a GUI, e.g., pressing a button, selecting an item from a list, etc.

Try MacroMagic...
30-day free trial
$40 to register

I've used it for 5-6 years now and people are always amazed when I crank out a macro in 15-30 minutes that would have taken many hours using some of the big brand name automation tools.
