squeaky clean internet Let's say there's a premium internet; let's furthur define this premium internet as having the simple rule was, to do business within this internet--you had to host the server in Singapore; let's assume in this Singaporian network you had to follow all the tough internet content laws of Singapore or you'll simply go to jail for a long time--and they are tough in enforcing the no-b.s. policy; what would you like to see served from such a tough network?

This has got to be a troll. Why on earth would I want an internet with censorship and no porn?

Sounds like MSN pre-95. Pass.

Umm... the former NSFNET anyone? When a single entity controls the network, you can accomplish those goals.
Jeremy
Without porn the Internet is worthless.

Keep an eye on the Great Firewall of China.

If there was a vulnerability that was exploited to add spam to the network, how would it be prosecuted and regulated? That might be the biggest problem, aside from it being not free.
Lou
I just meant that it sounds like MS's network strategy before Bill Gates' (in)famous internet memo. A centrally managed iron-fist type of network with no innovation as opposed to the chaotic, always-innovating free-for-all that we know and love, despite the spam, viruses, etc, etc.
