Joel's been very quiet recently.... he's stopped writing articles, doesn't seem to appear in this forum anymore and closed the 'ask Joel' forum because he didn't like the questions. Also, there's a number of people who, it would appear from posts in the CityDesk forum, are getting frustrated by Joel's reluctance to communicate his future release intentions..

Is he sulking?

I doubt it and I doubt if he'll react to the prod.

Yep, his ego is so fragile a bunch of numb-nuts on a message board sent him into hiding.

Joel is fine.

The forum is fine.

CityDesk is fine.

Quit looking for shit where there is none.

I was just about to ask the same "sulking" question of Norrick, but then, there he is!

It's a crisis, I tell you. No Joel for our daily affirmation!

He owes us. He created this codependent mess, now he MUST live in it.

The parallels between this and every other message board / collaborative site I've been on are staggering.

k5 is the first that comes to mind:

But I remember threads on /. over the years that said essentially the same thing.

I'm sure there's more examples.

I guess the fact that even was not deleted  means that his board is (temporary?) left to its own devices.

Perhaps this is what Joel has been working on:

Heh-heh-heh.  I post almost daily.  You must not be reading the right threads.  ;)
