Not Quite New York City...

Is <a href="http://www.joelonsoftware.com/head1.jpg">this</a> Sandia?

Yes, it's Sandia Mountain.

I liked the Seattle picture better.  This one makes Albuquerque look like a trailer park.

It looks dreadful, like some kind of desert. Is Joel on holiday there or something ?

No, that's where he's outsourced his oompany to. He's being patriotic

I must admit that when I first noticed it I thought it was a sublte message by Joel to communicate "I'm depressed, the company is going down the drain, my future lies in a trailer park".

Perhaps Joel has been forced to move to that trailer park to economise, after seeing what Visual Studio 2005 Team System brings to the table. I heard he's sharing a trailer with Eric Sink.

[Only kidding guys, long may you prosper.]

I don't think that's a trailer park, it's just how all of the High Deserts in the southwest U.S. look. (Not kidding)...

Gee, now I know why Bugs Bunny always took a left at Albuquerque.  Why would he ever stay?

No, Bugs *didn't* take the left at Albequerque, which is why he didn't surface in Pismo Beach.
