sierra gamers site

Remember the old sierra games (King's Quest, Space Quest, etc.) we used to love? Do you miss those old games?

There's good news...  Sierra Online former CEO Ken Williams started a website where he discusses his thoughts on the computer industry and gaming today. Lots of good insights. Check it out.

Sounds like a great site but I can't see the content (replies to any of the posts) unless I give over my personal information.  Forget it.

Truthful or not, it is just wasted time.

Went to a site the other day. Idiots wanted me to enter quite a bit of information before I could download datasheet.  Forget it! One more potential sale lost because of stupid decisions.

No, those games sucked.  Well, the first ones (King's Quest I, etc.) were a real step forward and lots of fun.  But the subsequent releases for some ten or twelve years pretty much define the word 'stagnation.'

It was after they took away the typing option and made everything icon-based only.  (KQ5 was the first I remember doing this.)  You became severely limited in your options once all you could do was click on stuff.  Instead of solving puzzles creatively, it was just go through your inventory items one by one, and click each one all over the screen to see if anything happened...
