WIN98 crash. /2

Hi all
I'm fully in dos now, actually my father is purchasing a new dell. So I'm stuck in dos. I didn't have any response to my question. I just want to know the where windows usualy stores the dos system files and what ae these files?
I have learned from my book that they are IO.SYS MSDOS.SYS(which is missing) and command.com.
If you haven't read my last topic, all the files that I have copied in the root directory are from my win98 boot disk, that's why I still have the windows logo. I want to fully configure dos.

Thanks in advance

If my memory serves me right they are normally kept in the C:\ driectory. Remember that they are system files and therefore hidden by default.

I'm not sure what you're doing. if you want a W98 boot disk just to to www.bootdisk.com and download one.

the windows logo means nothing you will get that even with a bootdisk.

To transfer DOS to a HD use the command sys e.g.:
SYS C: // this transfers the basic dos files to that HD. nothing fancy.
