Monitoring Application
Hi:
Is there a software tool I can use to check if my application is up?
I have created a number of small java apps - they all listen on different ports. Problem is that they go down quite often in this early trouble shooting phase.
This is very annoying as they have depencies on each other.
Is there a straight-forward way I can visually monitor which applications are up? They are located on a number of servers - so checking on processes is still a major pain.
I hope I am not asking too much :)

its about 20 mins work...create a wee app that attempts to connect to each IP and port in a list and fires off an email if it fails.
make it in your lunch break ;)

Moses: looks like a useful utility. It's a good replacement for the collection of scripts I use currently. Thanks.
