While I would like to apologise for my post, I just think some folk here should cheer up a little.

here are some books by Michael Jackson on amazon. You might have to sift through all the beer/scotch guides to get the stuff you want but hey, you will have fun doing it.

Have I read any of them?? See above post. I think that the OP could have better worded his post.... Not sure whether he/she is looking for a list of books by the author above, or whether she/he is looking for opinions on the books listed.

And should MJ have issues with me, might I suggest at least using a real email address. Why hide behind eAnonymity.

"Michael Jackson" is a legitimate author. It can be proved by checking his books on Amazon. You guys are just too lazy!

I have both books. I think you are better off reading Software Requirements and Specifications first, because it lays out the basic concepts.

It's like a dictionary of software development terms and his intepretation of them. I enjoyed reading it a great deal. I've started the Problem Frames book, and found it useful as well. It's not intended to address any specific language issues, but more on how to approach problem solving in general.

I thought "Software Requirements & Specifications" was brilliant, but found "Problem Frames" really hard going - maybe because the former is structured as a series of essays, and is easy to dip into. The author has a website with some papers you can download at:
