Good Free Icons

Howdy,

I'm looking for some nice pretty icons for my commercial application. Standard icons, like cut, copy, paste etc (toolbar icons).

Are there any (good) free for commercial use icons? Ones like the pretty ones in Macromedia's Dreamweaver or the ASP.NET Web Matrix would be awesome.

I hope those Glyfx guys have good lawyers because their icons look a lot like they were ripped from the Explorer resource libraries in the system directory of every Windows installation...

(That's also where you should look if you want nice icons that look like Windows icons, by the way!)

There are some offbeat Windows XP-style icons here, which AFAIK are free:

Otherwise, if this is for a commercial appliation, can't you splurge $50 or $100 for the right icon pack? Glyphx (mentioned above) has lots of good icons for purchase if the set of freebies isn't enough. Here's another good site (not to be conflused with Glyphx):

the ones at foood aren't free, to use them commercially you have to apply to the author.

"I'm not accepting requests to use my icons for free at the moment.
I'm only accepting requests to use my icons commercially (for payment). It takes up a lot of time (which I don't have at the moment). "
