FogBUGZ vs Jira

Has anyone here experience with

the popular Jira bug/issue tracking system? How
does it compare _in practical use_ with FogBUGZ?

I found FogBUGZ easy to use and powerful, while Jira never got used at all.

Well, mostly because I never installed it. Never really even heard of it.

how meaningless all these responses are.

i've had limited use of fogbugz and even less jira.

however, when i tried to use jira to query the cruisecontrol.net database, i couldn't even make a simple query work. maybe it was set up wrong, they've changed servers since then.

Sorry, in what way was my response meaningless?

We use JIRA where I work and it works great. I wasn't involved in the decision to purchase it, so couldn't suggest FogBUGZ as an alternative. I think JIRA is cheaper anyway.

Jira Enterprise edition is $5000 (which is basically the normal version with all the features turned on plus support).

FogBugz is $118 per user including support.
