QuickBooks

Anyone using the qbXML API?

Its been a while since I have imported data into QB.  It looks as though they have scrapped the text file import (.iif) in favour of a fancy new XML based API.

Just looking for some advice here about the general robustness of the API and gotchas.

What looked like an afternoon of writing a batch import routine has turned into an 'integration project'.  Blah.

I didn't use the XML interface but the only slightly more friendly COM wrapper version. Either way it's not a pretty thing. Expect it to take extra time.
