VMWARE and Windows Guest (Synching PDA)

I'm running Windows 2000 inside a Virtual Machine.  Debian is my host OS.

How can I get my IPAQ to sync in Windows?  I have USB enabled but the submenu (Edit > USB Port 1 & 2) is empty.

Any ideas?  Thanks!!

Do other USB devices (ie. USB mouse) work fine in your Windows guest?

yes, other USB devices work fine.  I've tried all 6 USB ports!

I had a similar problem trying to get my Palm to synch with a Win2000 VM inside a Win2000 host. Other USB dvices worked fine -- just not the synch. Never did get it working, sorry.
