Business Analysis
I am looking for books on two topics:
-Business Analysis
-Data Analysis
I am looking for recommendations from people who have actually used it in real life and found it very useful.
This book(s) will be recommended/used for teaching/training community college students, so you know the audience.

By the way, I have been to websites (amazon etc.) and stores to find out about some good books, most of them have great reviews, which further complicates ... now I am realying on input directly from professionals.

is an excellent book on Business Analysis.
Also "Managing Software Requirements" by Dean Leffingwell and Don Widrig is worth reading.

John Wiley publishing has done quite a series on data warehousing, not sure if they touch much on business or data analytics.

If you get hold of someone from CSC (Computer Sciences Corp), try to get hold of the BAA book (Business Area Architecture) from their Catalyst series.
Those guys do it since 40 years and it shows.
It's really great.

Philippe,
Are those BAA book available for publc, I don't want to introduce something which is "not right" to do, and also do not want school to be biased.
Another thing, students should be able to find it in the market and buy it!
But I will certainly try to get hold of at least one copy. I think you have a point.

It's not available on the market (except if you have a lot of $$$)
But if you get a chance, read it.
There is a big PDF on the CSC web site giving you some basics (google for CSC Catalyst introduction)

Thanks, Philippe.
It does look useful. We may be able to pick some examples and methodology from this so that students can develop better understanding.
Thanks again.
