Adobe Designer 6.0 vs InfoPath

Anyone heard of Adobe Designer 6.0?

http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/designerbeta.html

Is this supposed to be an equivalent to InfoPath?

You know, Adobe better decide what business they are in ! They stop LiveMotion and ImageReady development to retreat from internet products, but now this ? Very mixed message they are sending, IMO.

I'd be thrilled if they could just make a PDF reader that loaded in a resonable amount of time and wasn't always sluggish.

I'd be equally thrilled if I found a fast third party PDF reader too, but I haven't managed to.  Guess I don't have my Google A game anymore.

I wonder if this came out of what was JetForm/Accelio which they bought a couple of years ago. If so I don't think they got very good value for their money.

Adobe Designer is, in fact, the new version of the high-end forms designer product that they acquired with the Jetfotms/Accelio purchase.

I think Adobe sees eForms as an important part of their business going forward.

I think they understand what business they are in.  Enterprise and Graphics.

There are tools for both and PDF crosses the barrier.

Most people don't get it though.
