Microsoft's MSHTML and Microsoft Word

Here is a problem I have run into a few times with clients who use our product which uses Microsoft's MSHTML.

Whenever they get to a page which contains the MSHTML editor for some odd reason the Microsoft Office installer pops up asking them to insert the Microsoft Office CD.

Has anyone ever run into this problem and knows how to solve it?
