numb minds

Maybe this guy has spent some time coding himself, because his mind seems to be a little numb. Of course there may be good things about off-shoring, but like almost anything else in the world, it all depends. He has a point of view and avoids mentioning anything that does not support it.
(The fact that he assumes coding is a mind-numbing job shows how little he understands about the whole business of software development.)
He just wants to reassure everybody that off-shoring won't damage anything in the long run, and that unrestricted free enterprise is always the best thing. But nothing is ever all good all the time, and there is no system that never needs any restrictions or controls. Big business does not care about people -- I'm not saying it should care, but we have to at least recognize the fact that it doesn't, and it isn't all good ,and we sometimes need some protection.
Knowing when protection is needed, how much and what kind, requires wisdom and judgement. It's easier to say we never need any protection than try to figure things out.
