Spammed Resumes?

Just in the last week or two I've started to get resumes in the usual load of spam.  They all have similar characteristics:

- HTML mail format with a very similar resume layout

- The guy supposedly looking for a job was formerly a high level manager with a degree

- There is a 5KB zip file attachment.  I have not looked at these, might be a hostile payload

What is really strange is I've gone from never getting one of these once in the last million years to suddenly getting one or two a day.  What do you think - times are so bad job seekers have joined the spam brigades, or this is a new way to ship a hostile payload to the great unwashed masses?

There's a nasty worm going around... Could be you're on the receiving end of one of these.

Sounds like a virus to me. Some variant of MyDoom (considering the zip file attachement) or Resume.a@mm

Bagle-B

I got one with the standard heading resume from the leading website we advertise on. It came in before the virus updates, but they foul up by making the file too small. 11KB is too small for a resume :)

I hope the spammer doesn't read JOS.

I have been getting the occasional one for quite a while (pre-myDoom). Usually electricians!
