Word Styleref question
Hi,
I have a document with a template. I use it a lot with Word. The problem is that my word knowledge is limited, and I normaly do not use Windows. I now work in a multilanguage environment.
The template is using the {STYLEREF "Heading 1"} macro, or what its called. The problem is that for users that are opening the document with a Word version in another language gets an errormessage here.
This is since "Heading 1" is changed to, in this case "Überschrift 1". The {STYLEREF "Heading 1"} is not automagically changed, thus the error. Is there a cure against this ?
I know the question might be better asked in a Word forum, but since I normaly don't use Windows I am not sure where to start looking. I did try Google but none of my questions resulted in any interesting hits.
What I have done so far is to make a PDF from the Word document, and thus solving the problem.

www.wopr.com is the best site for any Office related questions. Drill down to the Word forum.
The macro you are referring to appears to be a user defined macro. Setting up a pre-defined style does not appear to generate an error in Word.
Instead of saving as a .pdf you could save as an .rtf file. This will disable all macros but still leave the document editable in Word if that is what you want.
