JOS Worldwide Meetup Reminder

I am in no way associated with the usability nightmare that is meetup.com.  I am however an avid JOS reader/poster and am presently under the belief (and quite possibly the delusion) that people on Joel on Software might like to get together (in person) on a regular basis and talk about software issues.

The JOS Worldwide Meetup is TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 18.  I don't know how other cities are doing, but representing Washington D.C., we have a terrible showing.  Namely, not even Philo (our resident celebrity) has bothered to confirm or decline despite voting for a venue.

Anyhow, this is just my plea for people to confirm/decline so that those making plans (me in this case) for these events can have some time to prepare.  Then again, maybe I was wrong in assuming that people on this board would want to get together in a social setting to have an intelligent conversation with each other sans Joel. . . or maybe it's just D.C.

I was looking forward to the meetup in Bucharest, too, but no one out of six people confirmed (but me).

I'll show up anyway (at least the venue has been confirmed), I just don't understand how hard it is to get the email notification and click the 'confirm' thingy.

Lucky bastards! I live so far off. Have nothing to do on a Sunday beside going out for a movie sometimes and trying to pass time reading or with household chores (that I don't quite enjoy, for example an errand).

If I were somewhere there in States, or if JoS was in India, then...then I was the President of the United States!

Looks like DC has been cancelled seeing that only 4 of 18 people were able to attend.  Guess it's off, unless the other three email me telling me that they're going, in which case I'll still go.  Someone really needs to develop something to replace that meetup site with.  It's terrible!
