If you use Outlook, Newsgator is hard to beat.

Feeddemon is brilliant, www.feeddemon.com

SharpReader ( www.sharpreader.com ) is very good if you have plenty of memory and the .Net framework.

If you use Outlook, take a look at IntraVNews

I tried NewsGator with WinXP Pro/Outlook 2003, as I wanted to do RSS and NNTP feeds into Outlook.

If you're looking for a for-free application, I've found that RSS Bandit is the best of the bunch there... Otherwise, I'd recommend NewsGator if you've got Outlook 2003, and FeedDemon otherwise.

Why do people keep thinking I don't have an RSS feed? I've had one since the beginning of time and it's in the usual place, with all the usual magic orange cookies and link tags pointing to it...

The latest beta of Awasu (www.awasu.com) looks really cool. *And* it has a plugin that lets you monitor these forums Woo hoo! :-)

*sigh* There will never be an RSS feed for this site. It's been covered BILLIONS of times already.

I use Awasu. 'ts pretty straight forward.

I'd like to second the feed demon recommendation. Not only is the software awesome. Nick Bradbury is extremely reponsive to *any* problems you have with it.

I use SharpReader but it's too buggy, even when I run the latests. The main bug is that sometime it cannot track correctly if you read an item. Not too good when you have a lot of feeds.

I have been using NntpRss with lots of success. It basically creates a Nntp server locally and formats the RSS feeds into News messages.

You could also try ClickTheNews. It is free and it's for Windows. Very simple to use. http://www.clickthenews.com
