Where is JD Edwards?

What/Who is JD Edwards? I read its one of those ERP size software systems that promise to run your whole business. I searched Google but didn't find any JD Edwards site if its supposed to be one mamoth size software, it should have a website in its glory I thought. I was wrong. There's all the hype at Oracle, Peoplesoft and brinkster from "architecture astronauts" but no real stuff about WTF is JDE?

It was bought over by Peoplesoft. Check the peoplesoft website

> didn't find any JD Edwards site

It was acquired by PeopleSoft, and so you'll see Peoplesoft when you visit http://www.jdedwards.com/

Software like these are reason why IT consultations brought in in the form of tiny swat teams will always get more done in a year than ERP drones will in 10.

You said it. How did you read my mind. I swear upon God he does and I was bitching all about it to myself last night when I didn't get a wink. That creep owes me my share of laundering money from when we robbed the bank at Brooklyn.

"Edward McVaney, Jack Thompson, and Dan Gregory founded J.D. Edwards & Company (a play on their first names) in 1977."

It's amazing what you can do with a Bloomberg terminal.

Ah! so there are three of them. No wonder that misnomer has the whole press and everyone misled. I am betting the police will never know...they're still searching for him.

[Grin] Hey, thanks for that rare info, BTW. And thanks to all you guys for that link to peoplesoft and for divulging the absorption.
