Try the Free Software Foundation at www.gnu.org
or FSF Europe at http://www.fsfeurope.org/ . Alternatively www.opensource.org will give you an explaination of open source which is slightly different. From these you should be able to find some general links if they're not quite what you're looking for.

Meanwhile on this board a large number of people are going to state their entrenched and well known positions whilst will all stand in a circle chanting "fight, fight,fight..."

A bit sad really...
