"Internet Spades" - anyone here on the team?

Anyone here  know how the "Internet Spades" and "Internet Hearts"interactive card game is coded?

Specifically, I would like to know if when a player gets into "Auto-Play" mode or is replaced by the "Computer", all previous hands played are stored in an array by the "Computer" or does it start calculating with what is available at point in time and forwards?

It looks very much the latter to me and I find that a bit strange.
