Failed entrepreneur turned into spammer

One of my non sexual recurrent fantasies is setting up my own business (and succeed of course), but I fear how I might end if things don't work well.

I'm reading this slashdoted story about a spammer granny and her hubby (http://www.ajc.com/business/content/business/1203/14spammain.html) and it tells how they got started:

> Fox and Connelly began by hawking a religious newsletter
> for a client in 1996 after failing to make a go of a more
> conventional computer business.

So now I picture myself sending 40 million mails per day saying "Make your johnson like a baseball bat" after failing to run my own business.

Better stay right where I am.

Did you read the article (part 1 of 3)?  Really telling how people you wouldn't let in your front door feel it's their right to invade your inbox.

Best part:  The spammer was wearing a shirt asking "What Would Jesus Do?".  I'll bet he'd refrain from sending penis enlargement ads to grandmothers.

"Better stay right where I am."

Anyone who comes to this conclusion after reading that article has probably made the right choice.

Another conundrum. What bothers me more, spam or religious hypocricy. Both bother me but I think the religious hypocricy bothers me more.

UGH! If that damn quarter-of-one-percent of people who respond to spam would wise up and just hit the delete button instead, spam would most likely die out since the income from it would dry up. Come on people, you can't really make your penis or your breasts grow larger with a pill. Sheesh.

I better not get those pills mixed up.

She doesn't send out 'bigger penis' emails because she is an honest, god-fearing direct marketer, not to be associated with the porno scum spammers.

Hmm, what would Jesus spam?

I'll be she DOES send out vulgar spam, but just said she doesn't for the reporter to maintain her religious self-image.

What, a woman wearing a picture of Jesus lie?  Never!

What about those ones from a widow in Nigeria, who wants you to help her sneak her dead husbands millions of dollars into the US, or the ones that tell you that you won the lottery. All they need is your bank account information so they can put loads of money in your account. Come oooonnnn... do people THAT dumb really exist? If so, perhaps we can find a way to speed up the natural selection process for them, and just put them out of their misery. ;)

Nigerian scams are definitely one of the man-made wonders of the world. There are people who get roped into dealing with these scammers, even with the press attention it's gotten.

Apparently there is a segment of the population that is intelligent enough to use a computer but dumb enough to fall for a comically transparent confidence game ruse. I guess this is saying that computer use doesn't require intelligence.

Hey, I've gotten forwarded sincere "warning" emails from end user friends about the hypodermic needles infected with AIDS being fastened to self serve gas pump handles.
