Identifying Windows version in a unbootable PC?

Hi all!!

I need to be able to ID the Windows version that's on a computer sent to us for support. We can "boot" into the computer using ERD Commander, so we can read the filesystem and the registry...

The question is, where do I have to look to be able to ID the Windows version / service pack installed?? Any registry key? Or any set of file timestamps/sized that I can check for??

It's in the registry under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\CurrentBuildNumber
