Maximizing Forms

What's the big deal about being able to maximize a form, especially a form within an MDI window.  I mean if it's fixed size and you can minimize it... who cares?

What's the big deal with forms that can't be resized?  If I use high contrast settings and huge fonts, and I can't read anything on the stupid form because the silly organization couldn't see past their own usage habits, why shouldn't I be able to at least manually resize the form to a more readable state?

I don't understand what you're saying.  I am using extra large white on black at the moment and the fonts on the forms are still the same size.  So what good does maximizing the form do?  Are you talking about being able to see the whole form?

Just because you use software one particular way doesn't mean everybody else does or wants to. Making assumptions about other people's habits is prone to disaster, especially when you think that they probably think their way of doing something is right and yours is wrong and vice versa. It's an argument you can't win!

What fixed size are you going to have?

Have it larger than 640 x 480 and some users won't see it all. And have it that size and it will look tiny on a 1400 x 1050 laptop screen.

And remember that some people have large fonts eanbled and some even have customized font sizes.
