Website Accounts search engine

Hi,
I am running a website where different things are posted/removed (HTML format) for different users. I like to provide a search engine for that. So that each user should be able to search his/her postings. Latest posting search is very important.  Minimal time in building the index ,  incremental/differential  index building  etc would be good features.  Database support should be avoided if not required.  Volume  users: 1000, files, 200,000, daily posting 5000. I don't want other party to run my search sevice.
My platform is unix.

If there are any freeware (OS) I would start with that.. I would appreciate all your suggestions for any ideas or products.

Those kind of numbers scream database to me.

There are file searching systems like an MS Sharepoint, but not sure if that is what you are wanting.
