Contracting in NY

I'll be moving to NY from the bay area (CA) in the next couple of months. I've been working for the past several years on various languages/platforms as a full-time employee and am now looking to switch to contracting as well. Does anyone know of any good agencies based in NY/NJ?

Also, I've a couple of product ideas that I intend to continue working on while contracting. I'm assuming that I'd need document this in the contracts as prior inventions?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
