All I want for Christmas

Watched the new Matrix this weekend. Not as good as I hoped, and I really thought that the fight scenes in the first two were much better.

Having said, that, there was one thing that I did like, and that was the APU (Armored Personnel Unit). I want one of those for Christmas. (A real on please)

I'd just like a snazzy new shuttle system with all the trimmings. Plus a laptop would be nice.

And a full set of Buffy DVDs, and Space: 1999, and that "24" series looks good, and I wish they'd bring out Due South on DVD.

And some pastel pink wool and black soutache braid so I can make that coat. Plus a roll of light cardboard so I can make some new pattern blocks. And world peace.

You see? I'm not greedy, I just want a lot.

APU owners might just want to consider throwing some armor over the cockpit area.  That way you can play squid skeet for longer without having your face ripped off.

Bruce: I just saw Revolutiuons last night and my first thought when I saw the APU's was "where the hell is the armor for the operator?"

Why cool looking, there were several serious flaws in the design. (which, IMNSHO, can be said for the movie as a whole.)

Regarding the oft lauded fight scenes from number two - maybe myself and my wife are the exception, however most extended fight scenes left us scrambling to find the fast forward button (we just had our daughter at the time of the theatrical release, so it was left as a rental) - These scenes could only go on for so long (like 5 minutes...) before it's just monotonous and unnecessary, and visual pointlessness.

On the matrix: Much like the Highlander series, they took an fantastic first movie, and then repeatedly lowered the bar.

The scenes with the robotic armour reminded me of Thumb Wars.
