Recommend a good E-commerce Provider
I'm having a horrible time w/ our current provider and need to jump ship.
Can anyone recommend a good provider that has a shopping cart and possibly Verisign included? I know Google has thousands of 'em, I was just wondering who was good.
PS it's a fairly small site.
Thanks,
Lee

I donno what your needs are. For software registration, esellerate.net has treated me and most vendors I know pretty well.

It might be useful to specify if you're selling physical goods, software, or software w/ CD's from your website.
If it's just software, may I second the favourable opinion of eSellerate.net. They might also do CD distribution for you.

Sorry, I'll be more specific. It's a public television station selling video tapes and also taking pledges, so I need a shopping cart as well as my own "pledge page". I also need some way of running credit cards. I don't care about registering a domain right now.
I've got it all up and running at our current provider, but they've been down 20% of the time over the last 3 months.
I can code, so I'm also not adverse to rolling my own. http://www.servint.net/ has a BSD box that I think I can set up a shopping cart (thanks to Laverne for pointing out some open source possibilities).
I was hoping I could just get a bundled solution because I'm in a hurry.
Thanks again!
