About Photo Album Software
Hi all, I don't know if you came across a photo editing and management software from IBM, IBM PerfectPhoto.
Unfortunately, that product is already being withrawn from market... a real pitty as it was cheap and very functional.
Anyway, one of the features that I like from it is the way it creates "digital galleries". Do you know a similar software that makes this type of galleries or even better ones (adding titles + captions, etc)? Please advice.

Hmm last time I just used the Jasc Photo album software (I can't remember the exact name)
30 day eval download available. I got it to allow me to batch jpeg convert a bunch of photos from a scanner, plus it will also kick out a website with thumbnails. (Needed post wedding)
I eventually bought a copy so the wife only has one app to deal with (Cost was $50 ish).
Sadly it doesn't integrate properly with the old copy of paint shop pro I have (V4.12 circa 1996) which was the first "long file name" version.

Have you tried Photoshop Album from Adobe?
I looked at a bunch and this was the one that was stayed on my harddrive, it was that good.
There is a FREE starter edition on adobe's website.

I bought Photoshop Album and could never get the VR gallery feature to work. It just crashes.

Steve,
I recommend JAlbum (see link in earlier post). I find it excellent. A little slow (presumably since it is written in Java) but good otherwise.

The ultimate geek photo album software is iMatch, from www.photools.com. It exports everything to XML in case you decide to migrate away from it, and is scriptable via VBA/OLE Automation. $49, and worth every cent.
One word about Adobe Photoshop Album: How hard/wrong can it be to allow the user to freely select a freaking FONT when creating a gallery?
And about the "free" edition: don't even bother. It's the most annoying type of nagware, where you are reminded at every step to purchase the full version.
