Empower Program for ISVs
Hi everyone,
I was just reading about the new MS Empower Program for ISVs and had some questions. I hope someone might be able to help me.
What happens if you don't develop a commercial packaged application in the 12 months? Are there any legal ramifications?
I develop applications that are accessible only through the web...does that mean I shouldn't do this program?
Does the software license expire at the end of the 12 months...for instance, if I'm using the Office XP suite including Word, am I to stop after the 12 months membership expires?
Thanks for your help,
Mike

Why don't you use the e-mail address on the web site to ask these questions?
(In response to the one that I know -- because I used that e-mail address -- web-based applications DO qualify for Empower.)

A few threads ago we talked about the expiration of the license. All licenses expire after the 12 months (including MSDN subscriptions), and you must stop using all of it.
However, if you continue into being a partner, you can keep it all for $1500/year.

I asked a 'Softie who works in MSDN and he said that you can (legally) continue to use the software once your subscription runs out.
Ypu just can't get any updates or new software once the subscription runs out.
