references, what is ethical?

I'm changing company, and may even start my own. How ethical to show previous work as a portfolio?

I was an employee of a company, and however I didn't do the sales, but after the sale point I managed and build big systems.

How do you present your old work? On one side I can show what I did, but on the other side it is the portfolio of the company and not mine.

Or you simply show the work AND clearly mention what was your contribution and what was not?

IMHO, that's the ideal approach.

Think what is good for you, not for your competitors. Don't be too modest. Tell customers what you done and what you know. Connect your friends and past workers to your business.

Agree with Shivam - it's *your* portfolio. I do this all the time.

But the most fun is when someone's looking at my recent work and asks "Which part did you do?" and I can truthfully answer "all of it"
