musicmatch problem

hey all.. I use(d) music match juke box for my mp3 music.. but today I wanted to clean my library so I removed all tracks from library but accedentely I also selected the option 'also remove tracks from my computer'.. they're not in trash can, but they are gone (2000 songs, took me years...).. Anyone knows a way to get them back, Ive heared some software claims to know ho to do it.

If you own the CD's, t shouldn't be too much trouble to re-rip them.  On my laptop, Grip rips at a 3-4x speed. 2000 songs, or about <200 CD's would be about a month of lunch times worth of work...

OTOH, if you don't own the CD's, screw it.

Use any program for recovering the deleted files. My favorite is "Easy Recovery": http://www.ontrack.com/easyrecovery/

Marijn, what money ? Are you kidding ? :) Great that it worked for you.

One day, I've overwritten the .doc file I spent the whole day writing with yesterday's version. No, no backup was available. I've overwritten today's version with yesterday's one ! As simple as that. So, EasyRecovery recovered all those .tmp files that Word creates, and repaired them so that appeared as noraml .doc files back again. All the formatting was lost, of course, but no data. Than using the Sleuthhound (another great tool for searching in docs, pdf, htmls - all in once) I've searched all those files (had hundreds of them) for exact phrase I've remembered from the latest version. And it worked.

Kudos to EasyRecovery, of course !

Hey, I use musicmatch and I too think it SUCKS, HOWEVER, show me a similar application (the full application, I am a platinum user with the downstream songs) that doesn't suck. Even the ones that are only similar suck imho. Amazing that no one can make a decent jukebox.

Every time that I open Music match, it closes. I removed it and downloaded it again.
When I start it it states that it had experienced problems.
Does anybody know?
Thanks
Sol.
