University Infrastructure

Hi:

Does anyone have an example implementation in J2SE for a login system? This could be a tutorial online or a book.

A login systems would be one similar to website that also recognises the user and authenticates against an Ldap or other security settings.

Thanks,

Tha Wanderer

So, seriously now - you're building the infrastructure for a University campus computer system and you need help finding references on how to build the login part?

A better way then might be to find an example of a security system that was written in a language/API/Class you did understand and then incrementally convert it.

Or...

Just design it and follow your nose.

perhaps you could try searching with google.

Just like with "ask slashdot", using Google would eliminate half of the new topics on JOS...

I'm wondering why this forum is attracting the 'how do I set up my hardware' and similar questions when the topics are usually about software development. They also seem to be from first-time posters...

Sounds like something you'd do in J2EE not J2SE.
