Amazon.com Hacked?

Hi:

I just visited Amazon.com at 6.33 PM (EST) -

There was a blank page with the single word 'FOO' on the upper left corner of the page.

I took a screenshot - maybe the router that accepted my Http request is shot?

I still get the same page.

it's flopping between "FOO" errors and the actual frontpage.

I've was seeing a whacked out front page at the New York Times around 6pm, but then it disappeared.
Maybe some virus was triggered to go off at 6pm today?

maybe it has something to do with the "Shop in Sporting Goods" beta (in the upper-left corner of the page)? Deployment problems from staging to production servers?

I don't think its that.  All of UC Davis ( http://www.ucdavis.edu/ ) as far as I can tell got that FOO page.  And a few of the people checking are definitely Safari on OSX guys...

DNS spoofing attack?

I did a virus scan (with the latest database) - my PC is clear.

Unless, of course, the antidiote is not ready yet.

Internal network changes brought up certain boxes that weren't supposed to be serving web pages.
