Bionic office colors

I've seen some sideline comments about it, but I'll come right out and say it - I have serious misgivings about the colors Joel used. Can people actually work with neon colors staring them in the face?

I love the colors myself, and I wouldn't have any trouble working in an office with them on certain walls.

Don't trust colors you see in a photograph on a web site. They don't actually look like that.

I think Joel should call up Bravo and see if they'll do a special episode of "Queer Eye" where the Fab 5 come and critique the new Fog Creek offices.  That will be the true test.

Plus, think of all the potential CityDesk sales such a cameo could generate!

Tim,

I am just wondering if you have read Joel's bio...

LOL!  It's about time they had a "Queer Eye for the Gay Guy," anyway.  The show's just discrimination against gay men like myself who have no sense of style or fashion whatsoever.  ;-)

Geez, Robert, I'm not sure how to tell you this...
Girls aren't ducking you because you're gay; they're ducking you because you're a geek...

I don't get it. If robert's gay...why does it matter if girls are  "ducking  him"?

I think I would have a hard time with bright colors.  The green is especially bad but I think I could live with the blue, especially if it's not as bright as it looks in the picture.

+1 for not believing the photos. We have unusual colors in our house, and EVERY picture of the wall color comes off way too bright, or way too dark, depending on the ambient light.

This is close to right, if somewhat washed out:

Whereas this is a good looking photo, but the wall is too dark:

And this is just scary:

All three are the same wall color. None of the photos represents it, and I've never been able to make it right.

Yes, I've read Joel's bio.  I guess Robert spelled out my angle more clearly than I did. ;-)
