Another "free and open source" movement - free books this time, by Ron Hornbaker of Humankind Systems, tired of making commercial software:

It might also be another solution for the "Markets or uses for old dev. books and tools?" thread. I kind of like the idea, especially the release part. Do they read them? Hope so. By the way, Joel hasn't been bookcrossed yet...
