Remote Data Replication (Backup)

After I read about Joel's mis-experience with Dantz Retrospect (for off-site backup) I couldn't help but compare it to the glowing remarks I heard from the IT guys here for the backup appliance they use for this here.
I haven't heard about the company before the IT guys spoke to me about them, but apparently Kashya's "Data Protection Appliance" is saving them a lot of hassle.
Does anyone here have any experience with this product? Or competing ones?
