html embeded wmv

i was thinking of phoning a friend,
but dont really know anyone who knows windows media player files well.

Just wondering if anyone here knows if an embeded windows media player file like .wmv, on a webpage can be clicked to go to another URL on the browser.

Normally when you click these embeded movies, it starts and stops the movie.

any ideas on how to get it to link or have you seen it do that before ?

I believe the embeded wmv files in html using the activex media player.  You can capture the click operation and then perform a redirect I would imagine.  It's been a while since I've worked with the Windows Media SDK.
