Stress Testing Applications

Hi:

I am thinking of recommending that we perform stress testing of one of our Java applications. None of us have prior experience on stress testing  - i.e. for memory leaks etc.

Is there a tool that users are familiar with that does not require too steep of a learning curve?

Try "java profiler" or "java stress test", JMeter can make web hits, but you'll have to ensure it can test individual functions or classes as well.
