HELP: why can't I access some websites
Help please.
I can not access some websites but there's no pattern. It's just keep loading but nothing is shown.
For example: I can access Yahoo, but I cannot access Yahoomail. Other sites I cannot access for example: Realgm.com/boards, amazon.com
I've tried deinstalling reinstalling Sysgate personal firewall,
XP firewall, and also Ad-aware.
Below are netstat result to amazon.com.
What should I do?

In case you try this form work I know at least one company with a policy of not allowing employees to access the Yahoo email.

Are you at home?
Does it happen all the time; if it only happens sometime it's probably a question of connectivity being lost.
Remember that the home page will often be cached, but the page within the siite that you want to reach won't.

Sorry,
You're not allowed to read your email while I'm reading it. Please wait a few minutes while I finish up...

Yes I'm at home using dial-up connection.
It happen often for the past week.
I've asked other users of the ISP and they said they have no problems.

Do you have a hosts file in your Windows subdirectory? Try renaming your hosts file to something like hosts.xxx and see if the problem persists.

Can you try it with another browser?
There are parts of msdn that I cannot see with IE/Mac,
but when I copy and paste the url into Netscape it all
works fine.

I had a problem like this after I installed my DSL router, I think -- it had something to do with MTU fragmenting. Certain Web sites would display just fine, others would just seem to hang. I doubt this would apply for a dial-up connection, but just in case here's a pointer to some info:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/794/router_mtu.html
Also, two diagnostics you might try:
nslookup www.whatever.com
will tell you if your DNS server is resolving the domain name to an IP address or if that's the problem.
tracert www.whatever.com
will show you all the hops on the way to the server, and you might be able to see your packets getting lost somewhere.
