Bad argument. California has been very stable with respect to power for the past 2 years. ;)
Isn't the TVA one of the most overbuilt power grids in the US? It was mainly built as a public works project under FDR and was intended to provide power for a burgeoning populace... a populace that never quite materialized.
Don't know about yours, but our nuclear plants weren't built during FDR's administration:
