Component or DLL for Spectral Analysis?

Does anyone know of a component (DLL, OCX, etc.) that will display spectral analysis of sound in realtime?

E.g., I need to display a realtime graph of volume vs. frequency, and other similar displays.

If you've ever seen an Oscillisope, that's the sort of thing that I'm looking for.

I would be using this, ideally, in VB 6.

If it's only available for Delphi or .net we might consider that as well.

Have you tried looking at the freeware/shareware apps that do this? Maybe there's a dll they use....

Yep. In fact, I sent out an email tonight to a shareware author about that.

However, I suspect that a lot of these folks are writing thier own code for this, versus using a pre-made control.

I base that on the fact that the shareware PROGRAM  authors aren't advertising thier products, and I've only found PROGRAMS that do this, not any controls or program libraries (DLL, OCX, etc.)

Although quite possibly beyond your pricepoint, LabView software (the big expensive version) allows you to create custom controls for doing spectral analysis.  I am looking for simmilar products right now, and not having much luck.  I started coding my own in DX9.

I know it is in Java and not a DLL you are looking for. But just can't help recommending it. It's cool.

Warning: It looks like their site is down for the moment.  However, this page may tell you what you need for now:
